What Are The Most Popular Colours For The Winter Season?
If you’re looking to revamp your wardrobe after the last few weeks of wearing festive jumpers and sparkly dresses, why not take a look at what the hottest colours for the season are?
According to the Pantone Color Institute, the five core shades of AW22/23 are ice coffee, peach caramel, tapioca, blueberry and quiet shade.
These represent a mix of warm, comforting, and sweet together with deep, dark, and unobtrusive.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said: “We see bold and brash colours that lend themselves to exaggerated statements reflecting our desire to embrace life with full vigour, coalescing with an array of neutral and natural tones that embody a sense of calm and containment and satisfy our need for harmony and tranquillity.”
Its AW22/23 London Colour Palette included ten bold shades that will be all the rage over the next few months.
These included molten lava with an intense red tone; dragon fire that exudes excitement and energy; meadow violet that is intriguing; abundant green as a reminder of nature; pungent spicy mustard for an exotic touch; lichen blue that feels serene; strawberry cream for a sweet blush; cleansing waterspout for a cool look; chicory coffee that is an earthy tone; and cardamon seed, adding a citrusy splash.
When it comes to incorporating these colours in your wardrobe, the easiest way to do this is with new accessories.
A custom silk cotton shawl in a cosy pink with pretty flowers on, for instance, will keep you warm throughout the winter, heading into spring.
